Apparently tabs (so filing cabinet, dahlink) will overtake the left nav (so noughties, dahlink) as the navigation structure de nos jours. The BBC is normally pretty prescient about this (their December 1997 website looks scarily similar to the one we had at Datamonitor, although ours was more gold and probably had less content. I’m quite proud though, looking at that site from Jan 1998.).
