Is Facebook an enemy of the internet?
Very interesting early stat: our updates only reach 12% to 16% of our friends (although there is no source for the data).
The move from "Sharing" an external page to "Liking" a page / link viewed in Facebook is also interesting.
Finally, the reason I put images in Picasa Web / Google Images is because I can sync my NAS photo folder with Google and make changes on both ends. I own all the photos, and know all the important ones are backed up. On Facebook, it is hard to know what is where, and tricky (not impossible) to maintain a correspondence between home and cloud photos.
Thought-provoking: always worth looking at changes to free services to see how they benefit the product (us, the users) and how they benefit the service owner.
