Monteverdi Choir rocking Bach and English polyphony.
I am loving the Bach Motets disc. Tempi are fast and work well. The blend and sound are also excellent. I particularly enjoyed the not-entirely-Bach bonus track 'Ich lasse dich nicht, du segnest mich denn!' BWV Anh.III 159 as it was completely new to me, and a cracker. Buy direct from the link. Amazing to think the whole disc is a recording of a live concert (although there could be patching up, I guess).
That said, hearing them do English polyphony live at Spitalfields shows that they really are that good (try Byrd's Laudibus in sanctis for size). Just lovely and on iPlayer for a few days more. get_iplayer is your friend if you want to preserve the memories.
