Future magazines.
Read an interesting article reflecting on how usable eBooks were already, even though we've had very little time to create really good ones.
There is some thinking underway on what a new magazine might look like, including all-you-can-eat subscriptions (like Spotify / Netflix) and build-my-personal magazine. Both could well be disruptors of the traditional publishing models.

Have used FlipBoard for a bit, never found it worked for me. Will see if Zite is different. Next Issue looks interesting, though seems weird they are Android only for the time being. Looks as if it may be per-issue? If one had a model for reading per-article and multiple publishers – sort of combination FlipBoard/traditional magazine model, would be interesting to think if publishers could be paid on a usage fraction basis, and where that would drive the industry.
I don’t know how the Spotify to artist payments are divided, but they have worked out something people seem to be comfortable with. Has to work for written publications too, surely?
