The article is a little less frothy than the headline, and makes the valid point that the concentration of power per se is not an issue, but that network theory suggests that such a network is not resilient enough against shocks.
Also, the banks are owned by shareholders at some stage and we are at least part of those shareholders, something not covered in the article.
