Lots of great stuff around on China recently.
- China doesn’t seem to be attempting to be able to compete with the US, just ensure that China is the key player in the Asia-Pacific region, not the US.
- Apple is doing surprisingly well in China (it will be interesting to see how the new stores in HK do). Also introduced me to mianzi and guanxi as elements of ‘face’ in Chinese culture.
- A review of several high tech suppliers in China. Hard reading.
- An introduction to Chinese opera. We’ll have to do some soon, I guess.
