First gadget envy for a while. A light field camera captures more of the image in front of it than traditional sensors, so you can dynamically refocus the image after you have taken it. It also allows for some immersive 3D effects. Worth clicking through to the article to see how it works in practice.
I guess this is equivalent to capturing the velocity of the light coming from a scene rather than just its speed?
