I hadn’t heard of Steven Sasson, Eric Fossum, Joseph Woodland or Bernard Silver. They’ve just been inducted into the US National Inventors Hall of fame for the invention of the digital camera, camera-on-a-chip and bar codes (sort of respectively).

Nice to realise that we don’t always need to have media darlings to disrupt or transform industries. In fact, more of it probably happens outside the media’s knowledge than within it.
