Tabata Training is the result of research that evaluated a novel interval training approach that can give very good results.

The basic plan is to go as fast and hard as you can on an exercise for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds and repeat eight times.

Doing this four-minute push on each of eight stations in 30 degree heat and 85% humidity in Bowen Road Park last night (20:00) left many of the participants (most certainly me) looking like they had just been in a swimming pool fully clothed.
