Important to get a handle on the new way of doing source control. Why? a) I am loving the Unix command line geeky loveliness that means all its commands begin with Hg and b) Joel thinks it is important and has explained it very effectively. Fogcreek does a free startup edition of its Kiln product, which I might just use.
If you like hg you should try git. I’m not quite geeky enough to understand the jihad between the two, but git works for me.
Didn’t realise there was a jihad, but Hg just about sneaks ahead in this comparison.
