While the one-to-one tuition we were privileged to get at Oxbridge can’t be beaten, it isn’t cheap for provider or student. There are a number of organisations working on reducing the cost of tuition – amazing to see $399 for a course which you can take whenever you chose and that provides college credits that can lead to a formal degree. I guess this is like the Open University in the UK (which I think charges >$1,000 for comparable courses: still good value).

I wonder if people might start taking courses at the same time as working post-school to compress their eventual university stint (in both time and money senses). A bit like online dating: I can sort of imagine how it works, but can’t imagine using it myself (one of the joys of marriage…).
