Wiffy brought my attention to this article in the Indy. While the “think of something in terms of some other measurement” often is misguided, I found that the statements here did make me think.

Nice. I remember seeing at least one of the original global ones in the 90s. One factoid stands out a mile for me, which is easy to forget with half of all foreign-born Brits living in London: the UK is so staggeringly un-diverse. 92% white! Which means in many rural areas it´s pretty much 100%.
Oh, and 1% of the population lives in Croydon? Shurely shome mishtake.
