Chutzpah = stupidity.
Publically, at least, Clarkson can´t trade in the nuances of life because his brand of journalism dictates that life appears in pinpoint clarity for him and some murky haze for others. Still, at least he was good enough to admit the volte face.
I can´t help thinking that his schtick is starting to feel a little dated. His humour (and humility) comes through slightly better on TV but his columns slightly have the air of being built around a Clarksonesque template by the graduate trainee..
