Import CSV posts file to Wordpress

Useful if you are trying to get information out of Drupal and in to Wordpress. The import plugin just worked, although my upload directory permissions weren’t correct and needed changing.

Names

Nothing wrong with silly names: Private Eyes letters page notwithstanding. However, Jenny Taylor wins it for me. It has everything you might want, and nothing silly. Genius.

Why

A great example to use as a case study for consulting. "How much is 1.3 tonnes of opium worth"? Sadly truth and analytics were a casualty of spin as usual.

People at work

Another good contemplative set of pictures, this time on the theme of work. I think I’d least like to be in the firecracker factory. Doesn’t look safe or healthy.

What to show on your CV

Some useful tips here. Time to get LinkedIn up-to-date.

Carnival

Lots of great pictures. I hadn’t really connected all the different types of carnival celebration in my mind. More pertinently, where does her costume end and someone else’s start?

First Direct IBAN numbers

FYI if you need to give people international payment details, you can find the IBAN and Branch Identifiers by going to print a statement from the First Direct online system (you don’t need to actually print the statement).

Windows MP3 tagging

If MusicBrainz Picard doesn’t do it for you, try MP3tag and its freedb.org option. Neat.

Big pictures

Loads of good stuff in there: lovely shot of a woman golfing in La Paz, La Princesse in Liverpool, the bushfires in Australia (how did those cattle survive?), China’s lantern festival and the destruction of the Mandarin Oriental, and a Tibetan prayer festival.
