Hosted Weave sync

I really like the way that Weave syncs Firefox (browsing history, passwords, cookies, etc) between multiple machines (Mac, PC, Work, Home), but it has been flakey and I haven’t been able to get it working on my own WebDAV on my raggett.net site. So instead, I’ve done the MyDisk.se version advocated here. What do you know? It just works.

  • Cool. After bad experiences with Weave, and Google Sync falling away, I use foxmarks – they´ve brought in IE support too which is sometimes useful (really must get Portable Firefox sorted out again), plus web access.

  • Yes. I kept meaning to go back to Foxmarks, but I really don´t use IE – it´s now third after Firefox and Chrome. And the mydisk.se version just works. I love having passwords synced, especially. I use a master password on Firefox, so things are secure-ish (you have to enter a password to run my copy of Firefox and you can´t see all my stored passwords without a master password).
